(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 Erie League 4 rivalry, *GB6Pack squeaked by a tough *Hawks team by a score of 102.45 to 100.65, extending the winning streak for *GB6Pack to 5 games.
*GB6Pack were led to their 1.80 point victory by a 22.90 point effort from Marques Colston, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 99 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds. With this performance, Colston was the number 1 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 16.40 point effort from Ricky Williams, who snuck past the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 34 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 50 receiving yards. "This was a confidence booster," *GB6Pack coach John Kastenbauer said. *Hawks were helped out in a losing cause by a 34.95 point effort from Jay Cutler, who tore apart the Buffalo Bills defense for 359 passing yards in addition to 30 rushing yards. With this performance, Cutler was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 18.10 point effort from Matt Forte, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 73 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 28 receiving yards. "These guys have nothing to be ashamed of," *Hawks coach Mark Holody said. Adding salt to the wound, *Hawks could have scored 117.45 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Mark Holody left key players like Justin Gage and his corresponding 17.40 points on the bench. This brings the record for *GB6Pack to 8-8, and drops *Hawks to a record of 8-8. | ||
